MLS Newcomer Whitecaps Hope For Success

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC are the newest members to join Major League Soccer, and naturally the odds are stacked against them. Their chances of taking home an MLS championship appear to be slim to none, but that is why they play the games. A team full of unknown entities like the Whitecaps is just that: unknown.

There is no telling how good or bad Vancouver can be in their inaugural season because they don’t have enough information about the players they will be fielding this year. They will not have the advantage of having experienced players on the pitch, but sometimes it can be an advantage to have unknown players. They do not have reputations yet and other sides will not know what to expect.

The players will also not have egos, and so they will have a lot to prove, and therefore they will be playing their hardest for all ninety minutes. Still, it’s important not to have big expectations for coach Teitur Thordarson in his first year leading the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Olonso Drives the Sounders Forward

For all of the fanfare that the sounders receive for their incredible attendance and open cup success, Success in the MLS Playoffs has eluded them thus far. This might be the year for that to change and Osvaldo Alonso is the reason for that. As perhaps the best defensive central midfielder in the MLS, Alonso is the driving force behind the Sounders offence, and a big part of the success of stars such as Freddy Monters and Stave Zakawani.

He dominates the game and maintains possession of the ball, and controls the tempo unlike any other player on the sounder roster. In the preseason he signed a new contract with the sounders solidifying his spot in the organization, and this will potentially yield benefits on the pitch. As a 25 year old, Alonso is remarkably far along the growth curve for a center midfielder, he seems to have the presence of a much older and more seasoned veteran, however he has been a starter and key member of the sounders roster since they introduction to the MLS in 2009.

How do sport players make the most of money?

I wonder if you remember the old TV sitcom, the coach? It aired in the early 90′s I think and basically the plot was centred around a football coach, his personal and professional life.
How do sport players make the most of money?

It was done in a quite specific way whereas the coach was never showed coaching. It was all about him in the office interacting with others, at home spending time with his family trying to deal with any potential problems which growing up kids usually bring to the household.
